The
Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) system was
developed to replace the All-Purpose Lightweight Individual
Carrying Equipment (ALICE) and Integrated Individual Fighting System.
The US Army MOLLE pack consists of a modular rucksack with removable
components, as well as a fighting load carrier with removable
pockets for pistol, rifleman, squad automatic weapon (SAW), medic,
and grenadier configurations. For short-duration missions,
Soldiers can opt to use the waist pack and assault pack. This
modularity allows Soldiers to tailor the load to the mission. |
What is denier?
Denier is a unit of measuring the
thickness/weight of fiber. Basically, the higher the
denier, the thicker the material and the tougher and
stronger the fabric. |
